When Christ Jesus Gets Angry

Very few pieces of artwork depict Christ Jesus as anything other than passive, suffering, meek, and are generally quite feminine looking. Very few pieces of artwork depict the other side of Christ Jesus: God in the flesh (Philippians 2). Christ Jesus talked much of love, selfless love; he talked much of faith in him and God, he talked much of giving to God and others, he talked much of Hell and Heaven, he also talked much of the kingdom. He taught us many parables concerning our faith, and of the Kingdom of God. Many people will paint or write about those things. But what about the things that Christ Jesus said he hated? What about the things that made him very angry?

Just as it has always been, the trend in Christianity is to take what we like, and throw out and ignore the rest. That includes, most certainly what Christ Jesus said, and what made him angry. What did make Christ Jesus angry? We should want to know, if we claim he is our King and we follow him in obedience as his slaves. Yes, that is what the Bible says, we are slaves with our lives given over completely to the Good Master, our Master, Christ Jesus.

One of the main things that made Christ Jesus angry was the love of money, which he said was the root of all evil. He said no one can serve money and God, you will hate one and serve the other. There are not two masters. This world is mastered by greed. Christ Jesus said he hated it.

“Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. [And would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. Mark 11:16] “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ [Isaiah 56:7] but you are making it ‘a den of robbers!’” The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them. But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law [religious leaders] saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant. “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, ‘From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise’ [Psalm 8:2 – A Psalm of David]?” And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany [where Lazarus, Martha and Mary resided], where he spent the night.” Matthew 21:12-17 NIV

“When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem [his first recorded journey into Jerusalem during his brief Earthly ministry]. In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.” [Psalm 69:9 – A Psalm of David] The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken (John 2:13-22 NIV).”

The most famous time Christ Jesus got angry was the cleansing of the Temple of God from the moneychangers, and the sellers and buyers of goods. Christ Jesus was not a wimp, nor was he milquetoast when he was with us on Earth. He was livid at these people, because he said it was making his Father’s temple into a cave of robbers, a den of thieves. He would not even let them carry their goods across the outer court floors! The outer court was where people congregated. They would hear teaching, have discussions about the word of God, and worship God there; much like our churches today. It was not a place to treat irreverently and disrespectfully by selling merchandise OF ANY KIND.

Christ Jesus drove out the animals from the temple courts with a whip he made, he let birds go, smashed the cages, tables and holding pens; and he drove the people out the same way. The moneychangers were not just helping to convert the world’s trade money to Jewish money for the sale of doves, cattle and sheep used for profane sacrifices and offerings, they were converting money that also went into the temple treasury which was strictly for offerings and tithing to God; something that was instituted well before Moses and “The Law,” and that Christ Jesus and the Apostle taught that we should do with a willing heart toward God. It was never abolished as some would like to claim. This was profaning God’s offering, making it commercial – a marketplace. Just like today.

What did Christ Jesus angrily yell to those who bought and sold in the temple, even in the outer court? “You have made my Father’s House a dwelling place for thieves! Get it ALL out of here!” He also said to watch out for the hypocrites (Matthew 23).

If we believe that Christ Jesus taught the disciples and apostles, and what they wrote down for us in our canonized scripture is true, then there is another type of thing he said he hates; and that is the selling of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in any way, shape, or form! Remember, Christ Jesus himself said that all blasphemy and sin will be forgiven EXCEPT that against the Holy Spirit. Oh, how many today we have running around saying, “Holy Spirit do this, Holy Spirit do that!” “Come to my Holy Spirit school so we can have a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit!” As if the Holy Spirit need humans to command him and beg him to come! God commands His Holy Spirit, He gives His Spirit to those who faithe on Christ Jesus, just as it says. He does not give His Spirit to be kicked around like a plaything by insane men and women; circus performers who only want notoriety, fame, and MONEY!

What we see on television and Social Media is blasphemy at its truest. Men and women running around on stages with microphone in hand, jerking and babbling in what they say is “toungues,” but is nothing but demonic babbling. We have fake healing services for famous healing faces, with paid shills who lie! We have “miraculous” gatherings of people in “tent revivals” only to be spurred into an un-Biblical alter call to show off numbers by more hired shills. People swept up in emotional fervor, leaving more lost than ever, because they followed Simon the Sorcerer. Lies! Performers! Actors! It is EXACTLY what Paul preached against in Corinthians.

“Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.” [Sound familiar? This is mostly what we see today. Puffed up self-proclaimed prophets strutting around with microphones and sorcery shows, and “prophetic” words for hire (i.e. Book of of Jude).] They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery. But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the Good News of the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ [the Good News about Christ Jesus, and nothing else], they were baptized, both men and women. Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.

“When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

“When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

“Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! [How many “prophet” schools, “seeker” schools, and “healer” schools, etc. etc. etc. do we hear of and see advertised in Christianity today? Selling the “gift” is just as bad, if not worse, than trying to buy the gift. God gives gifts through His Holy Spirit, no other way.] You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that He may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin [greed, pride, envy, power-hunger, attention-seeking, self-serving, self-exultant, etc.].” Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.” After they had further proclaimed the word of the Lord and testified about Jesus, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem, preaching the Gospel in many Samaritan villages.” Acts 8:9-25 NIV

In the Last Days there will be a tidal wave of False Prophets, False Shepherds, and False Teachers just as Christ Jesus, all of the Prophets of God, and the Apostles taught us. The Bible clearly tells us how we will know these false ones: it will be all about them, all about their deeds, all about their words, all about their books, all about their conferences and schools, all about their face, all about their self; and it will be for fame, prestige, vanity and money: GREED. The hired men are just as bad as the evil wolves in sheep’s clothing, in fact they are the same; they do not care about the sheep (who all belong to Christ Jesus and God, not the hired men nor the wolves), they want to devour the sheep and make money off of them. That is what the Bible says, that is what Christ Jesus said:

“Very truly I tell you, I Am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.” John 10:7-13 NIV

“For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.” Romans 16:18 KJV

“For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.” Philippians 3:18-19 NIV

“Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1 Timothy 6:9-10 NIV

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” Matthew 6:24 NIV

“Beware of the teachers of the law [the religious leaders and elders of the day]. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They devour widows’ houses [greedy] and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.” Luke 20:45-47 NIV

“Everything they do is done for people to see [How many talking-heads do we have in Christian news, television, radio, video, etc. today who only want face-time? Every picture is about them, some perverted shot of them praying or “prophesying,” nearly every quote is their own, every new book about something they have made up – usually by twisting and taking out of context the Word of God; every place they go they tell about themselves, “false humility” that still comes back to them, or about what only they know by some special revelation or dream from God? One more article, one more t-shirt, one more conference, one more school, one more special teaching series with secrets only they can tell you, one more monetized social media channel, one more donation button, one more made up “sow your seed” unbiblical nonsense, one more way to merchandise you to death!]:

“They make their phylacteries [this is a headpiece worn for show of piety, along with the tassels on their prayer robes] wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues [today it will be televised shows, radio, news, conferences, government, organizations, special schools, etc.]; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah.” Matthew 23:6-10 NIV

How many do you hear calling themselves “rabbi” in a supposed Christian frame today, with some new special book or secret Old Testament revelation from God? How many do we hear today clamoring about “fathering” this and that in the supposed Christian frame, wanting to be called ‘father’ and have many ‘sons’ in the kingdom? How many today are self-appointed experts of everything, under a Christian guise, and yet they do not obey Christ Jesus and teach only about Christ Jesus? It is always about some worldly political or moral ideal or controversy of the day, or some new secret ‘demon’ we must battle that wants to destroy us and America, or some new way to be a “Christian” which means a follower of Christ Jesus, and which is not at all what Christ Jesus commanded us to teach. Hebrews 1 clearly tells us there will be no new special revelations, because the Word of God spoke of Christ Jesus. It was not private revelations or interpretations, as it says clearly in 2 Peter 1.

“Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The Law that requires works? No, because of the Law that requires Faith [John 3, Hebrews 11, etc.]. For we maintain that a person is justified by Faith apart from the works of the Law.” Romans 3:27-28 NIV

“We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. [How many tell you that a false preacher, teacher or false church is one that does not do what they do? The Bible says what the church and a gift minister is (i.e. Ephesians 4).] We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God Himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you.” 2 Corinthians 10:12-13 NIV

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes [has faith in Him], to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For the righteousness of God is revealed in it from faith to [greater] faith, just as it is written, “But the one who is righteous by faith will live.” [Habakkuk 2:4]” Romans 1:16-17 NIV

From Jesus’ brother, Jude (Judah): “Despite that, in the same way also these men, because of their dreams, defile the flesh and reject authority and blaspheme majestic beings [i.e. “Jezebel” demon spirit, “Leviathan” spirit, “Squid” spirit, “Orphan” spirit, etc. etc. etc.]. But Michael the archangel, when he argued with the Devil, disputing concerning the body of Moses, did not dare to pronounce a blasphemous judgment,** but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” But these persons blaspheme all that they do not understand, and all that they understand by instinct like the irrational animals, by these things they are being destroyed. Woe to them! For they have traveled in the way of Cain, and have given themselves up to the error of Balaam for gain, and have perished in the rebellion of Korah. These are the ones feasting together without reverence, hidden reefs at your love feasts, caring for themselves, waterless clouds carried away by winds, late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, uprooted, wild waves of the sea foaming up their own shameful deeds, wandering stars, for whom the deep gloom of darkness has been reserved for eternity [weeping and gnashing of teeth!].” Jude 1:8-13 LEB

That is in the Bible, read it for yourself. False ones and hired men do not want you to read it, not in context anyway. They will tell you what they want you to think it means, usually so they can justify themselves, but God is not fooled. It is His word. Was Christ Jesus a “hater” for telling us these things, and for telling them they were headed for Hell? He said their destruction has long been known and hanging over them. If a person claims to be speaking for God, considering the consequences, better to stick to God’s word and make sure they are called. Better to not say anything if you are not.

Christ Jesus said in the Last Days people will fall away from following him, and will follow after men and women. Today it is all the rage – one more podcast, one more article, one more best-selling book, one more “like” on a media profile or post, one more favorable comment on a page, one more “yes” man or “yes” woman to flatter them and agree with them, one more mega-conference to sell out. Applause is addictive. Today is all about popularity: all books, swag, gimmicks, schticks, memes and other nonsense that was never in the Bible. Many of them stealing real, hard-researched and time-spent Bible teaching from others; regurgitating it badly, and jumping on bandwagons just to be popular. Many of them have stolen teaching from myself and our pastors. We did the research; they did the plagiarizing. There is now the bandwagon of showing classical Biblical artwork, which we are happy to say we started and pioneered. I am a professional artist with a college degree in Art, an experienced art teacher, as well as a called minister of God. Now we see it everywhere, including the images we use for our articles. They will be used for others’ promotional advertisements the very same day we use them. Articles will come out with wording taken from our articles. Artwork concepts stolen and used for promotion, for music, for books, for conferences or webpages. The “Bridegroom” guy made his new website and promotion rebranding just three days after my article “The Bridegroom Comes!” was published and had a favorable reception. Stolen, plagiarized, and marketed. Thieves and robbers is what Christ Jesus called them. That also makes him angry. He sees it all, and there is a judgment seat where ALL will be judged, believers alike, including them. They will have to tell him why they did it. “Lord, Lord! Did we not prophesy in thy name, and heal many and drive out demons?” He will say, “Be gone from me. I never knew you.”

We are told to use the disciples as examples on how to follow Christ Jesus, and for the make-up of the Body of Christ. These false ones have made the Way of Truth a way of disrepute (have a very bad reputation and be made fun of), and it is evil spoken of as Peter said because of them. They have made a circus and mockery of Christianity, Christ Jesus, and God. They know inwardly what Christ Jesus said was true, the Word of God WILL be their judge. He used the word “Judge” on purpose, since he was the one who commanded us NOT to judge each other on sin. He said it over and over again, in many ways. The ones he spoke this to, the ones wanting to lord it over and abuse the sheep, want to twist this and tell everyone they should be allowed to judge, in fact are “mandated” by God to do so – when even Christ Jesus said he did not come to judge – all out of hate, pride and malice. Christ Jesus hated the judgmental Pharisees. He hated that they had no mercy, no love, and no grace. You cannot preach grace if you have none. He hated their greed, their power-hungriness, and their hypocrisy. Be free from that! As Paul said, let no one judge you on anything. God shall be the only judge of those He places His Holy Spirit in, trains and convicts. To say otherwise is blaspheming His Spirit, which He and Christ Jesus said was not a forgiven sin. That is all in the Bible, too, repeatedly.

“Discernment” given by the Holy Spirit and “judging” are two different things in the Bible. We can “discern” as John warned us that anyone who goes about calling themselves either a pastor (meaning “shepherd,” one appointed by Christ Jesus to care for and guide HIS sheep), a prophet (one who by God’s Spirit alone literally “bubbles-over” with God’s word like Jeremiah as Dr. Scott used to teach us), an evangelist (one who tells the “Good News” as “evangellion” means “Good News”), or anyone who claims to be chosen of Christ Jesus to represent him as it says in Ephesians 4, should be teaching Christ Jesus and God’s word alone. We can also discern that if they turn his house into a marketplace by constantly bombarding us with sales advertisements; merchandising us with t-shirts, the latest greatest book that is not about expounding on God’s word or Christ Jesus (all for reviews on the book selling sites), the latest greatest demon-d’jour, diet plans, financial plans, prayer plans, happiness plans, family plans, psychology plans, basically selling ANYTHING as the greater part of THEIR “ministry;” we can discern that this is a hired man.

Pride: this is clearly the mark of a false prophet and false teacher, who is either a wolf or one who does not care about the sheep, either way. If it is all about them, all about their face, all about what they say, all about what they want and perceive, all about their ideas for the church and what should be done aside from what Christ Jesus told us (“church” means those who belong to the Lord), if it is just twisted and full of modern buzz-words and schticks and gimmicks, devoid of the true word of God, they are false and we are told to run from them. Christ Jesus said his sheep know his voice, and will not go to the thieves and hired men. They will run from them. These are the types who want to keep people OUT of the kingdom, unless they are little cookie-cutter images of themselves or what they THINK Christianity is.

“I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?” John 5:43-44 NIV

“Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute [Sound like today? Now the foxes are guarding the hen house. The wolves ARE the hired men, and they are in sheep’s clothing disguised as elders and authorities – self-appointed the lot of them, which should be evident to all by now]. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.” 2 Peter 2:2-3 NIV

“Woe to them! For they have traveled in the way of Cain, and have given themselves up to the error of Balaam for gain [All they want is money and fame, and to do their way! Not in tithes and offerings to God, but merchandising the people! The latest greatest book, conference, or what-have-you only meant to generate revenue and face-time! The ones Christ Jesus drove out in anger.], and have perished in the rebellion of Korah [Korah tried to usurp God’s authority, call himself as God’s leader, and went against Moses].” Jude 1:11 NIV

How do we know if someone is not sent to teach of Christ Jesus and God, and God’s Word? They told us simply in the Bible, and that their motivation would be the same as Satan: pride, greed, vanity, prestige, malice, envy, and notoriety. You will be able to tell by what they SELL, and WHO they talk about. It will not be this prevalent and obvious false humility, as we see so often today. Christ Jesus said the Holy Spirit will speak of Him, not of himself (or any other human). Read the Bible to know, do not let them have the power to place a stumbling block before you, to make merchandise of you, or to devour you like wolves. This is the Last Days, as Christ Jesus said, we can know when it is even at the door by the signs of the times. The message is the same yesterday, today and forever: Christ Jesus, and His Good News. The only way to know the “true” from the “false” is to read the words and commands of Christ Jesus for yourself. Read the Bible, or be fooled by them. The Bible is part of the Armor of God. Take God at His word, not men and women with their empty platitudes. As our pastors say, “You put a straight stick next to a crooked stick and you can see the difference.”

What else did Christ Jesus say he hated besides selling in the church, greed, pride, judging others, not putting God first, and false prophets/teachers? He said he hated hypocrisy. What is “hypocrisy”? Well, the hypocrite will tell you it is whatever you are doing, and they are not. They will give you the typical judgmental works list of do-do’s and don’t-do’s. This is what Christ Jesus says is so abominable to him. These type will condemn others, ad nauseam, like little angry dictators. They rail on the current laundry list of what they think sins are: not being politically involved, smoking, drinking, addictions, “bad” movies, “bad” language, parental choices, family matters, personal medical choices, preference of lovers, etc. etc. etc. Christ Jesus said inwardly their secret sins are far worse than whatever they condemn others for, and in Romans 2 it says clearly they are all guilty of that which they condemn others for, anyway. That is “hypocrisy” by the very definition. Christ Jesus never did any of these things. He was a friend of sinners, and the Pharisees wanted the sinners condemned and excluded from the “church” body. They liked their little clique and power over the people. God sees their sins, too. That is why I really do not believe they think Christ Jesus is their king, let alone God, or living today. It is written that they would deny the very Lord that bought them.

Christ Jesus also hates the traditions of men. He said so many times. He said they made void the word of God. Today we have NOTHING BUT the traditions of men. Look where our holidays came from, none of them biblical – not Christmas, not Easter. Our calendar is a pagan calendar, not based on God’s calendar. The altar-call, holiness doctrine, deacon boards, second baptism of the Holy Spirit, five-fold ministry apostolic governmental structure and accountability, Seven Mountain mandate, New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), Kingdom Now, Hebrew Roots, women excluded from teaching men or holding pastoral office, no alcohol, etc.; all of it are traditions of men, created by men, and not found at all in the Bible. Most of them were started recently.

Listen to the verbiage of modern TV preachers and prosperity teachers, watch the worldly money-making schitcks; watch how much is focused on anything but Christ Jesus; see the cliques and the gangs, the “you must be sinless to join our church” kinds. Listen to the sweet, syrupy fluff and filler that passes for “sermons” today about your potential, your love life, your finances, your happiness, your health, your wealth, your “suddenly”, your “breakthrough”, you, you, you. Or telling you that you can command God’s angels, and use them for your whims and wants (that is what “lusts of the flesh” means, by the way). Twisting God’s word terribly, which is demonic and what Satan does best. Look at the magazine articles (which are really just advertisement for books, etc.). The man who thinks he is a popular news anchor for Jesus, but really wants to sell you his books so he can keep his lavish lifestyle. The other man who thinks he is General Patton reincarnated, brags on himself constantly, and rails on anyone who isn’t like him or following his political insane rants. Another guy who is obviously a false prophet that rebranded to sell “The Bridegroom” to us, claiming to “cleanse the Bride” by selling us his books and twisted conferences, while hypocritically railing on others who do the same. We have another who is an ex-con that unrepentantly is still conning people, and bilking them for emergency supplies, etc. and for God knows what, at 500% the markup! Then he becomes the main vehicle for “Christian” promotion of clearly insane people who claim to be prophets, seers, visionaries, apostles; and all to sell their latest, greatest book! He is their cash-cow. That is why they promote each other.

Christ Jesus hates this modern-day nonsense. His church looks nothing like what it should be, nothing at all. He did not say there would be a huge revival in the End Times, he said there would be a huge falling away (apostasy). He said that people would not put up with sound doctrine anymore, but will run to those who tell them what they want to hear – good or bad. That is why he wrote the seven letters to his church in Revelation; to warn us that if we keep on these current paths that we are on now, he will spew this church out of his mouth and put its candle out. HE will take a smaller group of people, over a massive group of insane and superficial people. Which we have now. As it says in the Parable of the Sower, he will take quality over quantity any day. The majority and crowds are always wrong in the Bible. Where were the 5000 he fed when he died? He said they just wanted the free food, not him. This made him angry, and he hated their disfaith.

“Jesus told them another parable: ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

“’The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’” … “Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, ‘Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.’ He answered, ‘The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out HIS angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.’” Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43 NIV

Christ Jesus was love incarnate, but he was also God incarnate. He got angry, and for good reason. He is still angry today, which is why we have the Great Day of the Lord looming over us, closer than we think. What we need today is not revival, that was never promised. What we need today is reformation, to go back to what Christ Jesus wants for HIS church body. What we need to do is REPENT, which means to turn back to God! When the Son of Man returns, what will he find? Will he find faith, mercy, and grace; or will he find pride, greed, and hypocrisy in his church? We have a choice. Do we want to make Christ Jesus, our King and Master, angry; or do we want to please him?
